- Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a job that gives you something back?
- Where you see the results of your work and it feels purposeful, meaningful and above all rewarding?
- If so, why not consider a position with us?
All we ask is that you are caring and compassionate and have a desire to make a difference to the lives of the people we support. We will provide the rest!
You will be shown how to do your job by others who have experience and can guide you through your induction so you have a clear understanding of how we provide effective support and appropriate personal care.
It doesn’t stop there!
We have an in house training team who provide all the mandatory and regulatory training and on top of that a full range of skill specific training tailored to Coverage Care requirements, and those of the people who use our services, while also supporting you with your career ambitions.
Coverage Care is the biggest care sector employer in Shropshire. We are a not for profit multi award winning organisation. If you think along the same lines as we do – why not apply?
You will receive timely support from your supervisor who will discuss not just your training, but how you develop in your role too. You will be encouraged to be actively involved in your development and understand your career options.
If you are someone who likes the idea of extending your responsibilities and would like to become a leader there are lots of opportunities and support to do this. We have leadership development programmes and lots of helpful training modules developed to enhance your leadership skills such as supervision, disciplinary, grievance, appraisal and interview techniques.
Leadership and promotion is not for everyone and we acknowledge that colleagues who continue to deliver excellent care are the backbone of our organisation, so we are keen to support these individuals to update their skills and promote new techniques to enhance our services and of course develop a long-term career in the company with prospects.
We like to think that if you have a problem with your employment we have people who can help you resolve it in the unlikely event that resolution is not found in home then we have a HR team who can advise and resolve issues fairly. We believe that unhappy colleagues are not effective and encourage employees to speak openly so that we are aware of problems and can find a resolution, remember our values apply equally to ourselves.
We encourage our leaders to compliment and thank staff teams for their hard work. All homes have their own recognition/award schemes where a manager feels a member of their team should be recognised in situations where they have gone the “extra mile”.
We are particularly proud that we have maintained our nationally recognised Investor in People Award since 2001 confirming our commitment to supporting and developing “our people”.
