Since 2001 Coverage Care has continuously held the Investors in People Award (IIP) accreditation.
Investors in People is a unique standard for people management offering a rigorous assessment against the Investors in People framework and reflecting the very latest workplace trends to help our organisation achieve high performance through people.
Organisations meeting the Investors in People are awarded accreditation and join the Investors in People community.
By investing in our teams and their structures, we are able to put people first in order to secure the best levels of service. This positivity feeds back in to the business and to our residents.
There are 3 key themes within the Generation 6 framework:
- Leading
- Supporting
- Improving
Within the themes there are 9 key areas to enable high performance through people such as managing performance, recognising staff, leading and inspiring. Our company is assessed against the themes and key areas which involves talking to our teams.
The main IIP targets
- Create the right culture for high performance.
- Retain valuable talent by listening to employees.
- Gain new insights to support growth and excellence.
We as a member of the IIP community understand that it is people that make the difference within any business but never more certainly than in care services.
A valuable part of our work involves regularly surveying not only service users but crucially staff, it is through this and various other means that we can gauge the changes required and improvements made.
