Job Title – Day Care Shift Leader

Coverage Care has been providing high quality care support and accommodation for nearly 25 years. This includes nursing, residential and respite care services for older people and those living with dementia or a disability throughout Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. All of our homes are very different but the high standard of care is the same throughout them all.
We need Senior Carers who can join us as Care Team Shift Leaders or experienced Care Assistants who are looking for the next chapter in their career.

- Provide a set 2 week rolling rota pattern to include working alternate weekends.
Day to day duties
We are looking for caring, sensitive, compassionate individuals to join our care team to support the delivery of a high quality service to our service users, enhancing their quality of life, whilst promoting independence. We provide person centered care which starts with a care plan for every resident. Documented in this are all the daily living activities needs and preferences. Your duties will include:
- Oversight of the care team
- Managing the shift
- Liaising with the nurse on duty (if applicable)
- Administering medication
- Personal care when needed
- Ensuring records are maintained and updated as required in order to enhance the quality of services including personal care plans
Role requirements
- Essential - Experience of Caring for others
- Essential - Experience in a health & social care setting
- Essential - Experience of caring for individuals with dementia
- Essential - Understanding of safeguarding adults at risk
- Essential - Understanding of key care principles
